JOB OVERVIEW

Homework club teacher aides and aides support preschool and elementary school teachers during the school day with school and learning activities, supervising playtime, administration, and other meaningful school work , help students do their homework in a safe and supportive environment, contributing to better learning and education within communities.

Food security and nutrition advocates help grow food and create gardens. These gardens will be located in schools, community areas and also within vulnerable households, to enable a constant supply of nutritious food for vulnerable members of the community. Emphasis is also placed on nutrition, food preparation, health and safety).

Kwa-Zulu Natal: Hammarsdale, Umzinyathi-Msinga, Uthukela, Estcourt/Mtshezi Mpumalanga: Nkomazi

SELECTION CRITERIA

SUPPORT FOR FOOD SECURITY AND NUTRITION

· Unemployed young people. Passionate about child care and development

18-35 years old

Have passed Year 12 or have a relevant qualification and are actively pursuing a qualification in Education or Early Childhood Education Childhood development (ECD).

English and local language

60% women, 40% men

South African citizens

FOOD SECURITY AND NUTRITION SUPERVISORS

Young unemployed people with higher education or interested in agriculture and nutrition

18-35 years old

Have passed Year 12 or have a relevant qualification and actively pursue a qualification in agriculture or nutrition/public health

English and local language

60% women, 40% men

South African citizens

Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination

DURATION

12 months

TREATMENT

1,484.16 per month (16 hours per week) earning a weekly allowance
