The budget created a clear roadmap to achieve the goals of various programs such as Prime Minister Awas Yojana, Gramin Sadak Yojana and Jal Jeevan Mission, he added.

Addressing a webinar on budget announcements in the rural development sector, the Prime Minister stressed the need to paint a new image of rural India by educating rural people on new era technologies for farmers and new farming methods. He said digitizing land records and connecting demarcation efforts with technology is the need of the hour. Mr Modi called on state governments to work with a timeline to link land registries and demarcation solutions to modern technology.

Mr. Modi said that the development of villages, especially houses and land, requires proper demarcation, which has happened successfully with the PM SVAMITVA scheme. He said that under this program, the government has already distributed more than 40,000 property cards. He said that today’s theme Leave No Citizen Behind can only be achieved through Sabka Prayas.

The Prime Minister said broadband connectivity will not only provide facilities in the villages but will also help create a large pool of skilled young people in the villages. He also highlighted the need for proper awareness regarding the proper use of broadband capabilities where the job is already done. Modi said the Vibrant Village program announced in the budget is very important for the development of border villages in the country.

Mr. Modi said that Nari Shakti is a major pillar of the rural economy and financial inclusion has ensured greater participation of women in households in economic decisions. He said women’s participation through self-help groups needs to be further expanded. Mr. Modi said Jan Dhan Yojna has ensured financial inclusion and empowered women.

Speaking about the target of four crore water connections under the Jal Jeevan mission, the Prime Minister called on states to step up their efforts. He also called on every state government to be very vigilant about the quality of the pipes and the water they are proposing to supply.

The Prime Minister suggested many ways to improve governance for rural development based on his experience. He suggested that it would be useful for all agencies responsible for rural issues to meet at regular intervals to ensure synergy and coordination.

The Prime Minister reiterated the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas as the inspiration behind all government policies and actions.

He said that our promises for the kaal Azadi Ka Amrit will only be realized with the efforts of everyone and everyone can only make this effort when every individual, section and region takes full advantage of the development.
