Researchers seek to determine the resilience of rural communities
Rural Community Resilience Project researchers from the UBC Center for Rural Health Research want to understand how rural communities in British Columbia have been impacted by disruptions such as COVID-19, wildfires and floods, and some of the factors that can help communities to be resilient in response to such disruptions.
With this in mind, the researchers are asking for the public’s help.
“We have prepared a survey on this topic and we would be very grateful if you could distribute it in your networks,” said Dr. Jude Kornelsen, associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UBC, principal investigator of this project.
“The results of this research will help us understand the resilience of rural communities in British Columbia and how we can recommend systemic interventions that will increase the capacity of rural communities to meet future challenges.
If you have a few minutes, please help the researchers by completing this survey.
