SHERIDAN – Sheridan Memorial Hospital has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Rural and Community Hospitals in the Nation for 2022 by Chartis Group. This is the seventh consecutive year that SMH has won this honor.
Over 800 hospitals were included in the study with the top 100 list compiled using the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®. The index assesses performance using 37 independent indicators across eight performance pillars, including inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, costs, charges and finances.

According to a press release from the Chartis group, the hospitals on the list serve as a reference for other rural establishments across the country.
